UNM study shows decrease in campus auto theft in 2018

ALSO NEW THIS MORNING– A RECENT CAMPUS SAFETY REPORT SHOWS A DECLINE IN AUTOMOBILE THEFT (AND ATTEMPTED THEFT REPORTS AT U-N-M. THE JOURNAL REPORTS– THERE WAS A NEARLY 40-PERCENT DECREASE IN AUTO THEFTS IN 20-18 COMPARED TO 20-17. THAT )S ABOUT 80 FEWER CASES. CAMPUS OFFICIALS SAY THAT MORE PARKING LOT CAMERAS AND PATROL OFFICERS ON CAMPUS CONTRIBUTED TO THE DECREASE. A DECLINE IN THE NUMBER OF REPORTED BURGLARIES AND AGGRAVATED ASSAULTS ON CAMPUS WAS ALSO SHOWN IN THE REPORT.

YEA RIGHT, AND WHEN YOU CALL FOR YOUR CAR STOLEM ALL THEY DO IS SAY ITS REPORTED, THEY DONT LOOK FOR IT AND WAIT UNTIL THEY FIND IT PARKED OR ABANDONED SOMEWHERE ONLY " IF " THEY SEE IT OR REMEMBER IT ! ( FOUND IT MYSELF )

THATS MY EXPERIENCE WHEN MY CAR WAS STOLEN !

Decrease in auto thefts but shootings have increased. How many people been shot near the campus in the last 5 years?
