Shupti Shagorica March 22, 2018 at 2:33 am Reply It would be so helpful if you made a video on how you revise your notes. Stella Johnson March 25, 2018 at 8:45 pm Reply I usually write my notes by hand because I find it easier to learn from them, but I thought at uni I would probably type them because it would be easier in lectures, how do you find that? Also I love your videos, I find them so useful as I also want to do biochem and possibly at bath! 1baby March 29, 2018 at 12:03 pm Reply Hey Noo, loved the video as always! I had a question about Geography following on from the tips video which you made previously. Since A-Level Geography requires tonnes of statistics and case studies to be memorised, did you start learning these earlier on in April or did you leave these until the few days before your exam since they would then be in your ‘short term memory’? Also, did you bother making plans before attempting the longer essay questions in the exams or did you just go straight in to the question? Thanks in advance! Sugar Snaps May 3, 2018 at 10:13 am Reply I am surprised you don’t get handouts for the lectures that you can summarise yourself rather than writing the complete lectures Alice Harvey May 28, 2018 at 7:54 am Reply Please can we have a link to the planner ?! In weaker universities, the students don't know how to do independent study anymore. They just print out Power Point slides their lecturers provide (it's also easy job for the lecturers, the slides can be reused every year. They don't need to teach, just show the slides and say a few words for each, "all the information is there"). Those students don't learn much and don't learn how to study. Before exams, they go to revision classes, and learn exactly the practice questions they are provided (the actual exams questions won't be the same, but will be very similar). They think they pay the money, they have got their service/products. Another good quality of Bath students is that majority (2/3 I heard) of them do the work placement year. Bath was an early leader of undergraduate work placements in British unis. Remember, it's not what you learn that is most important, it's the experience and the process of doing it. Stay curious, keep learning, and keep improving yourself. The future is bright for Bath graduates. kowsi kowsi October 9, 2018 at 2:31 pm Reply Where do you study Sophie Jenkins December 27, 2018 at 4:20 am Reply You film the lecture yrself or the prof. posted it online? Giorgi Maziashvili February 21, 2019 at 10:41 am Reply I used to make lecture notes but then realized that they don't really help me that much. In the end I'm still using textbooks to learnt the topics. So I currently write down main bullet points that I should go back to at home, don't know if it makes a sense. Then I watch related videos on Lecturio and after I did notes from there, I begin studying from Lippincott Biochemistry book. This way of studying worked the best for me.
