Hola Lucy!!! Tienes toda la razón, en España mucha gramática y poquísimo pronunciación. E mi caso sé mucha gramática y vocabulario, leyendo en inglés entiendo todo, pero si escucho inglés mi nivel es muy bajo. Y para qué quiero tanto inglés si después no me puedo comunicar? Es una pena que se enseñe así inglés. Besos y gracias por tus vídeos

Thanks for this. Learning a second language seemed almost impossible until I found an English course based on this philosophy: "Learn English the way you learned your native language, nobody teaches grammar to a newborn baby". If you have an extensive vocabulary with good pronunciation, a basic working grammar will allow you to practice, and more importantly, you'll understand your teacher.

Hi Lucy ! Thanks for your videos . My first experience with an english teacher was horrible, I was 8 and she used to yell at me a lot . I also ,was so scared to tell mother. It took me years to overcome that terrible first experience and in the end I become a teacher myself(a science teacher) so now I am sure ….there are a lot of psyco out there especially teachers ( does not matter whitch subject!)

My worst experience with english teachers was probably a high school teacher whos english was inferior to my own.
My grammar and pronunciation at age 16-17 were of higher quality than those of my supposedly educated english teacher.
    THAT was sad.
I switched to a different school and got a native brit as my new english teacher, and I have got him to thank for everything!
My english is nowhere near perfect, but I dread to think of what it would have looked like, had I not switched school at age 17…🙈
HOW on earth can you be allowed to teach english as a profession if you dont know how to use basics like have, has and had correctly?? 🙈🙈🙈

very good idea, Canadian university tells the professor let all the students pass as long as student pay tuition, so many employers don't know who is qualify or not and decide no pay job. Education is big $$$$ for Canada with the government helping finance student loan in advance

I think you’re right, pronunciation is very important and practice makes perfect. I have practiced it with Pronunciation workshop of Paul Grubbed and then using ELSA Speak App on the Appstore, now I can easily understand English speaker talking.

Point number 1? Learning music – it really helps. My skills aren't so great but everyone asks about my accent (not every single day practise 'violin';)). I can make thousands, thousands, thousands [yay] mistakes and most of people understand me, heh.
